Terms of Use & Entry
By booking, entering and/or using The Badminton Club venue or facilities, entrants agree to abide by the following conditions:
- Entrants acknowledge that they will be exposed to certain risks when using the facilities, including but not limited to physical injury and death. All entrants enter The Badminton Club at their own risk.
- The Badminton Club (TBC) will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered by any person entering The Badminton Club or attending any activities such as social clubs or competitions (including liability for any injury, loss or damage caused by the negligence of TBC or its employees or agents). To the extent permitted by law, entrants agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless TBC and its employees, representatives and agents from and against any and all losses, liabilities, expenses, claims, demands, suits and damages whatsoever and howsoever arising resulting from or in connection with an entrant’s use of The Badminton Club. The Badminton Club recommends patrons to have sufficient sport injury insurance cover if they so wish.
- Entrants authorise TBC to obtain medical assistance, treatment and transport as deemed reasonably necessary by TBC and acknowledge that they will be responsible for any costs associated with any such medical treatment and/or transportation.
- Entrants must behave appropriately and follow the lawful directions of TBC at all times. Derogative comments, abusive language and inappropriate or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
- If an entrant causes any damage to The Badminton Club property they must make good the damage.
- TBC reserves the right to refuse entry to any person or remove any person from The Badminton Club.
- Entrants are responsible for their own property at all times. TBC does not accept any responsibility for any property that is stolen, lost or damaged in the The Badminton Club facilities (including the amenities).
- Entrants must use the Access Pin-pad to check in with The Badminton Club in order to gain access to the The Badminton Club courts and facilities.
- Entrants must book and pay for the use of the courts prior to using the courts. The Badminton Club Members are responsible for the payment of their guests’ fees. Entrants must strictly adhere to the allocated time slot and correct court number of their booking, to avoid being charged an any additional court hire fees. Additional court time can be booked and purchased online anytime through The Badminton Club website www.thebadmintonclub.com.au.
- Only authorised The Badminton Club coaches are permitted to provide badminton coaching or lessons at The Badminton Club. No person other than authorised The Badminton Club coaches may use coaching baskets or other coaching equipment on court. Entrants must not receive any badminton coaching or lessons at The Badminton Club except from an authorised The Badminton Club coach.
- Entrants must wear appropriate attire (including shirts and non-marking footwear on courts) at all times.
- The use of cameras and other photographic or recording equipment (including mobile phones) at The Badminton Club is not permitted without The Badminton Club’s prior written consent.
- CCTV Security cameras operate within The Badminton Club. Entrants acknowledge that they may be filmed.
- Smoking is not permitted in any areas of The Badminton Club.
- Alcohol consumption is not permitted in any areas of The Badminton Club.
